Nabilah Mohammed is a dynamic policy expert specialising in sustainable energy and public policy. Currently, she works with the Center for Climate-Smart Agriculture (CCSA) at Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, where she leads initiatives focused on integrating energy solutions into climate-smart agricultural practices. Her work involves conducting policy research, analysing energy access challenges for smallholder farmers, and promoting sustainable energy technologies (such as solar irrigation and bioenergy), to enhance energy efficiency in agriculture.
Nabilah has extensive experience in public policy and energy law. As a PhD candidate in Public Policy at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, she combines academic rigor with practical insights to address the global energy transition. She holds a Master’s in Energy Law and Policy from The Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Laws from Baze University.
Throughout her career, Nabilah has made significant contributions to the energy and policy landscape. She played a key role in the American Law Institute’s Restatement of the Law of International Commercial Arbitration, contributing to the development of legal frameworks for international energy transactions and arbitration.
Nabilah also served for five years at Baze University, in the Directorate of Global and Strategic Partnerships,where she was instrumental in establishing international collaborations and advancing the university’s global agenda on energy policy and sustainable development.
In addition to her professional achievements, Nabilah has been an influential global ambassador. She served as a Brand Ambassador for the International Model United Nations (IMUN), representing her country in discussions on international diplomacy, sustainable development, and climate change.
A firm believer in continuous learning, Nabilah has earned certificates in “Justice” from Harvard University USA and in “Public Policy for Societal Change” from the University of Michigan. These certifications have enriched her understanding of the intersection of law, policy, and societal transformation, driving her ongoing commitment to creating impactful change in the energy sector. Nabilah is also a member of the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) , where she contributes to advancing policy analysis and management practices.
An Engineer with over 30 years’ experience, Emeka has delivered several challenging projects in the Oil and Gas and renewable energy industry.
Having held pivotal roles in Nigeria, he was transferred in 2013 to Eni S.p.A. Milan, Italy as an expatriate Asset Integrity Engineer, where he demonstrated a keen ability to manage and optimize large-scale projects from feasibility studies and planning through execution and optimization across Europe, Asia and North Africa.
In Milan, Italy, he was involved in the successful development and deployment of a novel technology, utilising acoustic principles for early detection of pipeline leak and vandalism. This technology has been deployed across various Eni facilities worldwide.
Emeka retired from Eni in 2021 and is currently the managing partner of Precision Engineering and Procurement Limited, an engineering outfit based in the United Kingdom.
In the renewable energy space, Emeka has been involved in the installation of over a 150 mini grids across Nigeria.
Emeka holds an MSc. in Project Management with a specialization in Oil and Gas from the University of Liverpool, Liverpool, England and a BSc. in Electronics from the University of Lagos.
An active member of the professional community, Emeka is affiliated with IEEE, where he contributes to industry dialogue and development. He frequently participates in conferences, seminars, and workshops, sharing insights and learning from peers to drive the industry forward.
